1991 Grand Banks 46 Classic

The Grand Banks 46 Classic is a 47-foot fiberglass trawler built around a timeless design that balances offshore seaworthiness with comfortable long-range cruising. Twin Caterpillar 3208TA diesel engines (each with 2,000 hours) power the semi-displacement hull, which cruises efficiently at 9 knots. The yacht carries 600 US gallons of fuel, a generator, and inverter system for self-sufficient extended voyages. Zero Speed Fin Stabilizers were retrofitted in 2021 with VF650 vector fins and full hydraulic systems, along with an SE170 bow thruster and new navigation equipment.

The interior features three cabins and two heads arranged around a central layout. The master stateroom aft includes an island berth with en-suite facilities, while the forward guest cabin has a V-berth and the port guest cabin provides additional accommodation. A large salon with panoramic windows and lower helm station opens to a fully equipped galley with ample storage and adjacent dinette, making the main deck functional for both cruising and entertaining.

Deck spaces are extensive: wide teak side decks with secure handrails, a spacious flybridge with helm station and seating, dinghy storage, and a Besenzoni gangway and bathing ladder. The interior features handcrafted teak throughout, reflecting the yacht's reputation for traditional build quality and premium joinery. A major technical refit was completed in 2021, which included Bosch Rexroth hydraulic systems, serviced gangway hydraulics, and new navigation systems.
