1992 Beneteau First 45f5

The 1992 Beneteau First 45F5 is a Bruce Farr-designed racer-cruiser built from fiberglass with a 14-foot beam. The yacht combines performance with cruising comfort, powered by a Perkins Prima 60 diesel engine paired with a three-blade folding Maxprop. The keel was glass-blasted and barrier-coated in 2022, then finished with Pettit Vivid bottom paint.

Below decks, the three-cabin, two-head layout provides substantial accommodation. The forward cabin features a queen pullman berth to starboard with a settee to port, plus a wet head in the v-berth. Twin queen quarterberths aft of the companionway offer comfortable sleeping quarters, with an aft wet head positioned to port. The galley sits to port with refrigeration and marble-and-wood counters, while a navigation station and dinette occupy starboard space.

The electrical system was completely rewired to ABYC standards in 2022 with new Blue Seas panel and 110V outlets. House batteries and a start battery date to 2022 and 2019 respectively. A 400W solar array and Victron inverter support the 12V and 110V systems. The sails include an Evolution in-mast furling mainsail and multiple roller-furling headsails, with an Evolution asymmetric spinnaker. Raymarine electronics comprise hydraulic autopilot, depth, wind, and speed instruments; a Garmin chartplotter and Simrad VHF with AIS complete navigation. Deck equipment includes electric windlass, four cockpit winches, Bruce anchor with 250 feet of chain, and a swim platform. The 2022 canvas dodger and extension are in very good condition.
