2001 Beneteau Oceanis 461

The 2001 Beneteau Oceanis 461 is a 45-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat with a well-proportioned design suited to both coastal passages and extended offshore sailing. The open cockpit features a single helm station and wide side decks, while the in-mast furling main and 140% genoa with working jib provide versatile sail control. A 63-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine powers the boat for auxiliary propulsion and maneuvering in confined waters.

Below deck, warm cherry wood cabinetry throughout the interior creates a traditional aesthetic. The forward cabin holds a centerline berth with custom innerspring mattress and private head access. The generous salon features a center-line table that converts to a double berth on the starboard side, with an aft-facing nav station to port. A port-side double stateroom provides additional sleeping quarters with private access to a second head and shower. Six feet five inches of headroom is maintained throughout. The U-shaped galley on the starboard side includes a Force 10 three-burner LPG stove, double stainless sink with hot and cold water, microwave, coffee maker, front-loading refrigerator, and top-loading freezer with substantial cabinetry and storage.

The boat carries comprehensive Raymarine electronics: E120 plotter-monitor (dual displays), ST60 wind, speed, and tridata instruments, ST6000+ autopilot with below-deck control unit, and HD radar scanner. A Standard Horizon GX2150 VHF with integrated AIS completes the navigation suite. The electrical system includes four AGM 4D house batteries plus separate engine starting battery, a 2000-watt inverter with link monitor, Webasto diesel heating, and Raritan tank monitoring. Auxiliary systems include TV and DVD capability in the main salon and forward cabin, plus stereo throughout.

Recent upgrades include new deck and steaming lights, new Lewmar hatches with custom covers, and stainless steel ports, all completed in 2015 and 2017. The keel-stepped mast features double spreaders and is supported by paired Lewmar CSTO 54 primary winches, with electric-assist coach-top winches and an electric windlass. Rigging includes double lifelines with gates, solid boom vang, and a CQR 65-pound primary anchor with 100 feet of chain and rode.
