1992 Farallon Whaleback

This 27-foot Farallon Whaleback is a Gulf-capable sportfish built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a single 380-horsepower Marine Power engine with EFI, mounted on a straight-shaft drive—no outdrive. The engine was replaced by the previous owner. The boat cruises at 22 knots at 3,100 RPM and runs on fresh water cooling.

The boat is equipped for serious fishing. Twin bait tanks, each holding approximately 30 gallons, are plumbed with dual bait pumps on the same line with ball valves for redundancy. Twenty rod holders line the rails. Navigation and safety systems include Raytheon 16-mile radar, Lowrance chart plotter with GPS, Garmin depth meter and fish finder, Icom VHF radio, anchor windlass, and bow anchor. A canvas pilot house enclosure protects the helm.

The boat includes a four-blade propeller installed in 2018. A 9.9-horsepower Yamaha auxiliary outboard with approximately three hours of runtime serves as a get-home motor. A full boat cover is provided for storage. The boat sits on a 2018 galvanized triple-axle trailer purchased new by the current owner.
