1992 Hunter Passage 42

The Hunter Passage 42 is a 42-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built in 1992 with a 14-foot beam. The boat is powered by a Yanmar 4JH2-TE diesel engine rated at 62 hp, paired with a Kanzaki KBW 20-3 transmission. The engine has accumulated 4,650 hours. A Kohler 8000W inboard generator supports onboard power needs and has logged 4,000 hours. The yacht features a wing keel design.

The layout includes two cabins and two heads. The aft owner's cabin has a queen bed, sofa, and ensuite head with shower. The forward cabin offers a double berth and private head. The salon features an L-shaped settee that converts to a double berth, with a chart table nearby. Fresh water capacity is 140 gallons split between two tanks, and fuel capacity is 70 gallons. Hot and cold pressurized water is available throughout, with showers in both heads and on deck.

The galley is equipped with a three-burner propane stove and oven, stainless steel sink, 12V refrigerator and freezer, seawater foot pump, and a portable Seawater Pro watermaker. Electrical systems include 120V shore power and 12V onboard circuits, two Epoch 460AH lithium batteries installed September 2024, one AGM starter battery, and three 360-watt solar panels with a new Victron MPPT charge controller added in September 2024.

Navigation and electronics are comprehensive: Raymarine Type 2 autopilot, 7-inch Raymarine AXIOM+ chartplotter with GPS, 18-inch Raymarine HD digital radar, ICOM IC-M506 VHF radio with AIS receiver, and an EPIRB valid through September 2026. Starlink V2 antenna provides internet connectivity. Additional equipment includes a new dinghy and 9.8hp Tohatsu outboard motor added in March 2025, along with fishing gear, inflatable paddleboard, Magma stainless steel BBQ, and extensive spare parts for engine, generator, electrical, and plumbing systems. Recent work included macerator pump replacement in May 2025, shower water pump in February 2025, and a full haul-out with bottom paint, hull wax, and KiwiGrip in October 2025.
