1992 Magic Yachts MAG France - Cruising converted ex Imoca 60
About This Yacht
This 1992 Magic Yachts is a converted Imoca 60 originally campaigned in ocean racing under notable skippers. Built from composite, the yacht measures 60 feet in length with a 17-foot beam and carries a Yanmar engine alongside its sail plan, making it suited to long-distance cruising under canvas and power.
The boat has been extensively modified for comfortable cruising rather than pure racing. Below deck, three double cabins provide accommodation, alongside a full bathroom, galley, and saloon. Additional practical features include a water maker and a sheltered watch station, balancing the demands of extended passages with livable conditions.
The yacht underwent full servicing and upgrades in preparation for the 2022 Route du Rhum, with improvements made throughout her operational life. She remains responsive under sail while configured for fast cruising work. The boat is a sistership to Ecureuil d'Aquitaine, which won the first Vendée Globe Race.
