The Ta Chiao 56 CT is a heavy-displacement center-cockpit ketch built in 1992 by Ta Chiao Shipyard in Taiwan. A design oriented toward long-distance cruising, she combines classic lines with a fiberglass hull, teak joinery, and robust construction that supports her generous interior volume.
The interior layout comprises three cabins: a full-beam aft owner's cabin with ensuite, two forward double guest cabins sharing a large head with shower, a bright main saloon, and a U-shaped galley suited to extended voyages. The center cockpit, wide side decks, and ketch rig are configured for safe and manageable handling in varying sea conditions.
Comprehensively refitted in 2020, the yacht received upgraded systems and refreshed interior finishes. She is powered by a single diesel engine and cruises at approximately 8 knots. At 56 feet in length with a 15.42-foot beam, she offers the space and seaworthiness expected of an ocean-going cruising yacht.
