This 121-foot aluminum crew boat was built by Breaux Brothers to commercial offshore specifications. Four Caterpillar 3412 diesel engines, each producing 650 horsepower, provide quad-screw propulsion with a cruising speed of 20 knots. The boat is classed as an Offshore Supply Vessel and carries a gross tonnage of 250.
The main deck features seating for up to 62 passengers in an air-conditioned space, supported by crew accommodations below with multiple two- and four-man staterooms. A galley includes refrigerator, freezer, four-burner stove, and mess area with fixed seating. Two heads serve the crew and passengers. The pilothouse is equipped with dual engine control stations and a full suite of navigation electronics: Furuno 1942 Mark II radar, Furuno GP-32 GPS/WAAS navigator, Simrad GPS, depth finder, and AIS. Communications include ICOM and Uniden VHF radios and Standard Horizon loud hailer.
The steel hull is reinforced with longitudinal and transverse framing, watertight aluminum bulkheads, and a 3-inch half-pipe fender system. Deck gear includes 12-inch closed chocks, pipe kevels, double hammerhead bitts, 50-inch cargo rails, davits, and a fire monitor. Fuel capacity is 13,000 gallons, with additional tanks for ballast water, potable water, and oil. The electrical system runs on 110V AC power from two 50kW diesel generators. Twin Disc transmissions with 2.47:1 gear ratios connect the engines to the propellers, with keel cooling and air start.
