1993 Custom Carolina Scarborough 56 Convertible

This 1993 Custom Carolina Scarborough 56 is a cold-molded wood convertible designed and built by Ricky Scarborough. The hull carries the signature Carolina flare and aggressive entry for which these boats are known, delivering strong head-sea performance and a soft ride.

Power comes from twin MAN V8 Common Rail diesel engines rated at 900 horsepower each, pushing the yacht to 32 knots and cruising at 26 knots. A Seakeeper NG9 gyro stabilizer handles motion at sea. The electronics package centers on triple Garmin GPSMAP 8215 displays paired with Omni Sonar, professional sonar modules, open-array radar, and a FLIR thermal camera for comprehensive situational awareness.

Accommodations include two cabins and one head. The boat features a full cockpit mezzanine and a refreshed interior with new carpeting and wallpaper. The helm has been redesigned to integrate all modern systems. A 21.5KW Cummins Onan generator, rebuilt Eskimo ice chipper, and refrigerated lower mezzanine boxes support extended time on the water. A Blue Water Desalination water maker was recently installed. New exhaust risers are part of the recent mechanical updates.
