1993 Hunter Legend 35.5

The Hunter Legend 35.5 is a 35-foot fiberglass sailing yacht powered by a single 27-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine. The design balances comfortable cruising accommodations with straightforward sailing characteristics, making it suitable for both weekend use and extended passages. The boat features a spacious, naturally lit interior with a well-planned layout that maximizes usable living space throughout.

Below deck, the accommodations include a forward master stateroom with a V-berth and dual privacy doors, an aft guest cabin with a double berth and hanging locker, and a central salon with an L-shaped dinette and convertible table that can lower into an additional sleeping berth. The galley is positioned to port with a double stainless steel sink, pressurized hot and cold water, refrigerated icebox, propane stove with oven, and microwave. The enclosed head to starboard includes a vanity sink and separate shower stall with bench seat. Teak trim and teak-and-holly cabin sole run throughout, with porthole shades and screens fitted to all openings.

The deck layout features a walk-through transom with swim platform, cockpit shower, and a full cockpit enclosure screen. The sails include a mainsail with cover and a furling genoa with UV protection on a Furlex system, supported by a fractional aluminum rig with double spreaders, stainless steel standing rigging, and self-tailing winches. Lewmar pedestal steering with fold-in wheel, anchor locker with roller, bow pulpit with lifelines, and multiple hatches and ports provide ventilation and access.

The yacht carries a full suite of electronics including a Lowrance Elite 7m chartplotter and GPS, Autohelm ST4000 autopilot, VHF radio, speedometer, depth sounder, and battery monitor. Power comes from two 12-volt batteries with shorepower capability, battery charger, and electric bilge pump. A 9-foot inflatable dinghy with 3.5 horsepower outboard is included.
