The 1994 Grand Banks 42 Classic is a 49-foot fiberglass trawler powered by twin Caterpillar 3208TA diesel engines rated at 375 hp each. This is a fast trawler configuration that delivers 15 to 17 knots at top speed, well above the standard displacement cruiser pace, while maintaining comfortable 8-knot cruising. She is fitted with Active Naiad Fin Stabilizers to manage heavy seas and challenging conditions.
The boat has benefited from extensive recent work. All windows have been replaced, exterior teak decks are being fully reseamed and refinished, and the flybridge has been updated with a new bimini top, canvas, and seating. The gelcoat has been wet-sanded to a high finish and hardware has been polished or re-chromed. Interior flooring is being refinished as part of the ongoing updates.
Modern systems include a new navigation suite with AIS, Starlink satellite connectivity, an LTE modem, and Wi-Fi receiver. The twin Caterpillar engines show 5,500 hours and have been maintained on a consistent schedule with documented major service events. The boat runs on diesel fuel and is mechanically ready for extended cruising.
