1994 J Boats J/92

The J/92 is a performance cruiser-racer designed by Rod Johnstone, combining responsive handling with comfortable accommodations. This 30-foot fiberglass yacht features a 10-foot beam and is powered by a 30 hp Atomic gasoline engine.

This 1994 example has been well maintained under thoughtful ownership. Recent upgrades include new bottom paint applied in 2025, replaced standing rigging from 2016, and engine service. The interior is clean and organized, with a single head and well-kept mechanical spaces throughout.

The boat is equipped with a Harken roller furling system, retractable bowsprit, asymmetric spinnaker system, and an Autohelm ST2000 tiller pilot. These features support racing, shorthanded sailing, or weekend cruising with equal competence. The J/92 design has proven versatile across club racing, day sailing, and offshore use.
