The Najad 440 is a classic cruising yacht built with Scandinavian attention to detail and quality materials throughout. At 43.64 feet, this 1994 fiberglass hull features a graceful design with high freeboard, wide side decks, and a spacious teak deck. The yacht rides on a sloping stern with integrated steps and incorporates a large swim platform built into the transom. A deep, sheltered centre cockpit sits beneath a fixed windscreen with high coamings, centred steering, and a folding teak table, while generous seating and a U-shaped saloon dinette provide comfortable outdoor and indoor gathering spaces.
Below deck, the interior showcases rich mahogany and teak woodwork with satin finishes throughout. The saloon is flooded with natural light from large portlights and overhead hatches, with solid wood floorboards and well-crafted cabinetry. The galley sits conveniently near the companionway and includes a gimballed stove, double sinks, refrigerator, oven, and substantial storage. Three cabins comprise a forward V-berth with lockers, a bunk cabin, and an aft master stateroom with a generous double berth. Two spacious heads are each fitted with a separate shower stall and marine toilet.
The yacht is powered by a Volvo Penta diesel engine and equipped with a Vetus bow thruster for manoeuvring in confined spaces. Navigation and cruising systems include a generator, wind vane self-steering, radar, and chartplotters. The sail wardrobe is well-maintained: the Genoa is one year old, the mainsail three years old, and the Cruising Chute, Spinnaker, and Staysail are all in excellent condition.
