2002 X-Yachts X-442

This 2002 X-Yachts X-442 is a 44-foot fiberglass sailing yacht that underwent major refits in 2022 and 2023. The boat features a three-cabin, two-head layout and is powered by a Volvo Penta D2 60 diesel engine installed in 2023 with fewer than 100 operating hours. A three-blade Jprop propeller drives the yacht, and a Lofrans 1500W electric windlass handles ground tackle.

The standing and running rigging were both replaced in 2023, with six Harken winches serviced in 2022. The sail plan includes a full inventory: a latticed mainsail on Hydranet Dyneema carriage, a headsail on Hydranet Dyneema roller furling, a new 145% genoa from X Voiles, a storm jib, and both medium and medium-heavy spinnakers with chutes. The teak cockpit includes a bathing ladder, and the interior offers a pressurized water system, two manual Jabsco heads, an on-deck shower with mixing valve, hot water tank, and refrigeration.

Electronic systems installed in 2023 include a 9-inch B&G Zeus GPS with CMAP charts, B&G instruments with Triton X2 repeaters, a B&G autopilot with Lecombe and Schmitt hydraulic drive, and a fixed VHF radio. Power comes from 2023 service batteries, a 2022 engine battery, a 600-watt inverter, and a 160-watt removable solar panel. Additional equipment includes an electric bilge pump, cockpit heating (Webasto, non-functional), deck ventilation, and a Bombard six-person life raft.

The hull received hydrogumming and epoxy primer in 2018, with fresh antifouling applied in 2024 and the most recent engine service completed in 2024. Seacocks were replaced in 2023, as were the standing rigging, stanchions, lifelines, and rudder shaft, which was inspected. The boat carries primary and secondary ground tackle: a Bruce anchor with 80 meters of chain and a Fortress FX26 anchor.
