This 1995 Bavaria 44 is a four-cabin cruising sailboat built in fiberglass with a 49 hp Yanmar diesel auxiliary engine. The yacht spans 44.6 feet in length with a 13.8-foot beam and accommodates four cabins with two heads compartments. The boat is configured for serious cruising with two furled sails—main and genoa—supported by six self-tailing Lewmar winches, a cutter stay with ratchet tensioner, and an adjustable centerboard system.
The yacht carries modern navigation and autopilot equipment throughout: dual B&G Zeus3s chart plotters positioned at both the chart table and helm station, a Triton² log and wind package, NAC3 autopilot with Precision9 compass, wireless remote control, active AIS receiver, and dual VHF radios with DSC capability. Power systems include two 140 Ah service batteries, a 100 Ah starter battery, and a 12V/40A battery charger. Mechanical systems feature a Quick BTR185 bow thruster with joystick control, electric anchor winch with new ground tackle, and a Webasto water heater with heat exchangers.
Living spaces include a galley with a Force10 two-burner gas stove and oven, two marine toilets renewed in 2019, new mattresses for aft berths installed in 2018, and a radio system with loudspeakers. The deck layout includes Flexiteek finishing on cockpit benches and floor as well as the bathing platform, a sprayhood and bimini for weather protection, and a cockpit table. A Plastimo six-person life raft in container dates from 2018.
Recent work completed in 2025 includes a new starter motor, stop relay, exhaust manifold, and heat exchanger seals, with the tube bundle cleaned and resealed. The keel suspension and floor assembly were repaired and reinforced in 2025 with an available expert report. Prior refits include complete rudder system renewal in 2023 with new bearings and recoated quadrant, professional shipyard work in 2021, and various equipment updates through 2024. The yacht was hauled completely in 2024 and underwent professional polish and interior cleaning in August 2025.
