1995 C&C 30mkII XL

The 1995 C&C 30mkII XL is a performance cruiser built on proven Canadian design. With Kevlar hybrid fabric construction and an extended lead bulb keel, it combines the strength and stiffness demanded by racing with the sea-kindly qualities needed for cruising. The triple-spreader mast carries Navtec rod rigging and Tides Track, supported by a comprehensive control system of Lewmar winches and rope clutches led aft to the cockpit. A Yanmar 2GM diesel engine with a feathering propeller provides efficient auxiliary power, with the impeller replaced in 2024.

The 30-foot beam of 10.5 feet creates a surprisingly spacious interior finished in teak and holly. Below deck are two cabins—a forward Vee berth and a rare fully enclosed double aft cabin—plus a convertible dinette that sleeps additional crew. The galley includes a Force 10 stove with oven and 12-volt refrigeration. An aft head with integrated wet locker and hot and cold pressurized water complete the practical layout. Teak joinery, louvered doors, and Ultra-Leather cushions provide a warm, traditional finish.

The sail plan includes a full-batten Dacron mainsail, a 150% Dacron furling genoa, and a 150% North Sails 3DI racing genoa with furling sock, plus three various-weight spinnakers. Harken furling gear, adjustable genoa cars, and a Harken traveller with windward sheeting car allow precise sail trim from the helm. Raymarine electronics include an A57D chartplotter, Wheel Pilot autopilot, and instruments for wind, depth, speed, and navigation mounted at the helm and above the companionway. A Standard Horizon VHF completes the electronics suite. The mainsail stack pack requires cleaning and stitching.
