1995 Lyman 27 Cruisette

This 1995 Lyman 27 Cruisette is a classic fiberglass cruiser with a modern powerplant and recent updates. The boat draws on 1960s design heritage, stretched slightly for improved seaworthiness while retaining the traditional lapstrake aesthetic. In 2004, a Yanmar 240 turbo diesel engine was installed, delivering 18 knots at 2,900 rpm and a top speed of 22 knots at 3,300 rpm.

The boat accommodates a small cabin forward with modest cruising amenities. Navigation and deck systems include a Garmin GPS chartplotter, depth finder, windlass, VHF radio, and trim tabs. Twin air horns and additional comforts round out the equipment package.

Recent maintenance and upgrades include replacement of stringers and ribs with resin, a new sole and fuel tanks installed in 2023, and a new macerator fitted in 2024. A splash guard was also added. These updates address core structural and operational systems, supporting reliable day-cruising and short-range coastal operation.
