This 1971 Hatecke Lifeboat Launch is a robust 27-foot workboat built by the respected German lifeboat manufacturer Robert Hatecke. Originally launched for commercial service in the North Sea, the boat features a double-ended fiberglass hull designed for seaworthiness and minimal wake. Powered by a single 40-horsepower Volkswagen diesel engine, it cruises comfortably at 6 knots, consuming roughly half a gallon of fuel per hour, with a maximum speed of 9 knots.

The boat accommodates up to 35 passengers in rated capacity, though 10 to 15 people allow comfortable cruising. The design prioritizes practical functionality and stability across varied water conditions. Original lines have been preserved throughout, with modern upgrades integrated discretely into the layout.

Over the past three decades, substantial work has been completed to enhance the boat's systems and capabilities.
