The 1995 Seawind 850 is a compact fiberglass catamaran spanning 31 feet in length with an 18.6-foot beam. Designed by Scott Jutson as a precursor to the Seawind 1000, this boat combines straightforward functionality with solid performance. It handles short-handed sailing well, equipped with a furling headsail and stack pack main with lazy jacks. The twin hulls deliver level sailing and typically achieve 6.5 to 8 knots upwind in moderate winds. Power comes from a 2008 Honda 20HP outboard.
Accommodation is well-optimized for the size. The starboard hull houses a galley midships with stove and grill, while the port hull contains sleeping berths. Forward vee berths, aft double berths, and convertible midship berths provide sleeping for four to seven. The saloon features a U-shaped lounge with a convertible table and opens generously to the cockpit, creating an expansive entertaining area. A BBQ is positioned on the aft rail.
Interior lighting throughout is LED. The boat was slipped in November 2025 and received an antifoul application at that time.
