Miss Nina is a 55-foot pilothouse ketch designed by Phil Bolger and built by Story Shipyard in Essex, Massachusetts in 1996. She is a wood construction vessel with a shoal draft, powered by dual Cummins diesel engines of 152 horsepower combined and equipped with full sail capability as a ketch.
The yacht underwent comprehensive restoration beginning in 2009, including full hull restoration of her carvel-planked construction and complete systems overhaul. After initial work in North Carolina, she was brought to Maine for eight months of indoor restoration at Searsport. The boat was relaunched in 2011 and subsequently operated as a day charter in the Belfast area. Her spacious interior layout and shallow draft make her suitable for extended cruising along the East Coast and into the Bahamas as a live-aboard platform.
The yacht has been maintained to high standards and was launched again in July 2024. Her systems and structure have been kept current, with recommendations from a 2024 insurance survey completed.
