1996 Grand Banks 42 Classic

The Grand Banks 42 Classic is one of the most recognized and proven trawler designs, known for timeless styling, efficient engineering, and solid construction. This 42-footer features twin Caterpillar 3116 diesel engines producing 600 hp combined, offering excellent fuel economy at cruising speed of 8.4 knots while consuming just 3.5 gallons per hour at 1250 rpm. The yacht is capable of over 18 knots when needed.

The boat is arranged in the preferred centerline queen layout, with a master stateroom amidships, split master head with separate stall shower, and a full saloon. The salon settees have been newly reupholstered and fitted with new curtains. Teak decking was professionally removed from the side decks and bow, fiberglassed, and painted non-skid; the flybridge teak remains in very good condition. Stainless steel top railings with three hinged breaks for boarding replace traditional teak rails, reducing maintenance.

Recent service work includes fuel tanks inspected, cleaned, and painted in 2022, and full engine servicing that same year covering after coolers, heat exchangers, injectors, fuel pressure, filters, transmission oil coolers, and impellers. The generator strainer has been replaced and serviced. Upgraded Raymarine electronics are installed. A 2024 Highfield tender is included.
