The 1996 Jefferson Rivanna 52 Cockpit Motor Yacht is a 52-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by twin Cummins 6CTA8.3M2 diesel engines delivering 420 horsepower each. She reaches a top speed of 20 knots with a cruising speed of 12 knots, and carries fuel capacity sufficient for over 500 nautical miles at 10 knots.
The layout includes three staterooms, two heads, a lower helm station, an open main saloon with mid-level galley, and a dedicated man cave. Storage throughout is substantial, making her well-suited for extended cruising.
Recent upgrades span 2023 through 2026 and include replacement of both turbochargers, new raw water pumps for both engines, all hydraulic and fuel lines, and all Eisinglass. The electrical system received a Magnum pure sine wave inverter and charger paired with lithium batteries. Navigation was enhanced with a dedicated computer and 15-inch waterproof remote monitor on the flybridge, plus an upgraded Ray Marine autopilot. Engine room cooling and camera monitoring systems were installed, and the hydraulic davit underwent rebuilding.
Accommodations were upgraded with fresh-water-flush heads, two new Marvel refrigerators, a new Igloo freezer, and a new GE Advantium oven. A Village Marine water maker capable of 800 gallons per day was installed in the man cave. An aft-deck beverage cooler was added, and all Eisinglass was replaced.
