Scout is a 1996 Manta 40 catamaran, a 40-foot sailing cat with a 21-foot beam built for extended cruising. Twin 40-horsepower Volvo engines provide auxiliary power, delivering a cruising speed of 8 knots and an operating range of approximately 900 nautical miles.

The boat accommodates three cabins with two heads. The layout centers on a master suite forward and two guest cabins, with a full cockpit enclosure that extends usable outdoor space and protection. A hardtop spans the cockpit, designed to mount solar panels and provide shade.

The boat carries a Camberspar jib and is fitted with systems intended for extended offshore passage-making. The catamaran hull design offers the stability and deck space typical of the type, supporting the accommodation of three separate cabin spaces and the comprehensive cruising setup.
