The 2009 Admiral 40 Executive is a beamy catamaran designed by Angelo Lavranos and built by Admiral. Her 24-foot beam provides stability and interior volume uncommon in her size class, while the wide hull form delivers responsive handling and has proven suitable for short-handed or solo cruising in varied sea states. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 58 horsepower each provide a cruising speed of 6 knots. The fiberglass hulls are solidly constructed with low center of gravity for safe ocean passages.
The Owner's version layout comprises three cabins and two heads. The starboard hull houses the owner's suite with a master stateroom, desk and vanity, four hanging lockers, and a private head with bath and shower combo. The port hull contains two guest cabins with double berths and a second head and shower. A spacious saloon with convertible dining table sits amidships. The galley features a front-loading refrigerator and freezer, three-burner stove, and generous counter and storage space. Each hull is equipped with its own air conditioning system.
The yacht underwent refits in 2017 and 2021 that addressed safety and comfort systems throughout. Upgrades included a watermaker, Raymarine navigation suite with radar, a dinghy with Tohatsu outboard, life raft, aft awnings, hatch covers, and saloon shades. The boat has never been chartered and remains in active cruising condition.
