1997 Back Country 171 Pro Guide

This 1997 Back Country 171 Pro Guide is a 17-foot flats boat built on a fiberglass hull with a beam of 7.42 feet. The boat is powered by a 2024 Mercury 115hp Pro XS outboard paired with a 2024 Xtreme Hydraulic Jack Plate featuring a 4-inch setback and pro trim switch. Additional propulsion includes a 2024 Rhodan 54-inch trolling motor with 80 pounds of thrust and 24-volt power.

The boat underwent a comprehensive restoration completed in 2024. Major work included a three-tone Awl Grip paint job on the hull, cap, and non-skid surfaces, reinforcement of the stringer system and transom, and a complete replacement of rigging, wiring, plumbing, and hardware throughout. New systems include a full automatic 1100 GPH bilge pump, SeaStar hydraulic steering, dual 800 GPH tournament-series livewell pumps with a separate 800 GPH aerator pump, and Dometic electric trim tabs. The electrical system features Optima blue-top AGM batteries, Blue Seas-labeled components, and a three-bank Pro Tournament Elite 240 charger.

Navigation and entertainment equipment includes a 2024 Garmin GPSMAP 943XSV with integrated outboard controls and stereo, and an Apollo MS-WB675 marine stereo with Rockford Fosgate speakers. The helm features a custom paracord-wrapped steering wheel and three-rod aluminum rod holders on both sides of the console. The boat is outfitted with a Taco Rigid vinyl rub rail with stainless steel insert, stainless steel LED cup holders, pop-up cleats, flush-mount hinges, thru-hull fittings, and navigation lights. A 45-quart Yeti cooler with cushion and backrest, custom-engraved bench seat cushions, and a 24-foot carbon push pole complete the package.

The boat comes with a 2013 Competitor by Boat Master trailer that was fully rebuilt in 2024.
