1997 Carver Five Hundred

The 1997 Carver Five Hundred is a 50-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by three Cat diesel engines producing 810 horsepower. Built for extended cruising, the yacht combines open-plan living with practical seamanship features and a commanding bridge for navigation.

The main salon features panoramic windows and an open layout designed for entertaining and relaxation. Two private staterooms each include an ensuite head and shower; the heads were upgraded to Raritan Elegance units, and the yacht is equipped with a Raritan Purasan waste system. The galley is fully equipped with residential-style appliances including a recently replaced refrigerator and range top, a large microwave convection oven, generous counter space, and substantial storage.

The aft deck includes a hardtop canopy for all-weather use, while the large cockpit features a Bimini top and serves as a hub for water activities and boarding. The command bridge provides abundant seating and sightlines, with the isinglass enclosure upgraded to Clear View panels. The helm integrates dual chart plotters—one for overall cruise planning, the other for detailed course navigation—along with Garmin Active Captain, color radar, Sirius Marine Weather, and AIS. Two marine radios allow continuous Channel 16 monitoring and communication with other vessels. The sound system includes Sirius and AM/FM radio.
