A 1997 Farr 60 Pilot House designed by Bruce Farr and built by Najad in Sweden, this fiberglass sailing yacht is one of only five ever constructed. She combines strength and elegance with serious offshore capability, featuring a warm mahogany interior and distinctive pilothouse with panoramic windows that allow comfortable watch-keeping in any weather. A 140-horsepower Yammer diesel engine provides auxiliary power, with a range under power of approximately 2,150 nautical miles on 430 gallons of fuel.
The layout is intelligent and purpose-built for extended passage-making and comfortable living aboard. The yacht accommodates four private cabins plus a day head, anchored by a full-beam master suite aft with king berth, settee, desk, and ensuite head. The large pilothouse serves as the central navigation station with excellent sightlines, while a dedicated workshop and sail locker forward provides space for repairs and gear storage. Interior finishes include African mahogany joinery, teak and holly sole, and quality upholstery throughout. Fresh-water and fuel capacity supports extended offshore passages.
The rig is configured for shorthanded sailing with hydraulic in-mast furling main and furling genoa and staysail, all controlled by hydraulic winches. Navigation electronics include Furuno TZT14 multifunction displays with radar and AIS, dual autopilot controllers, and full NMEA 2000 integration. Electrical systems feature a Victron power management suite with 24/5000 inverter-charger and MPPT solar controller, supported by upgraded battery infrastructure. A Starlink marine antenna provides connectivity, and satphone capability is installed.
Recent investments in maintenance and upgrades span 2023 to 2025 and include a new rudder, rebuilt main engine with serviced coolers and new mounts, completely reconditioned generator, upgraded electrical architecture with ABYC-compliant installation, new navigation compass, new halyards and sheets, new windlass motor, and comprehensive head and plumbing refreshes. Deck equipment includes oversized stainless rails, full dodger and bimini, electric davits, a 12-foot rigid inflatable dinghy with 15-horsepower outboard, multiple anchors with chain and rode, and an 8-person liferaft.
