1997 Hunter Sloop

This 43-foot Hunter sloop, built in 1997, is a fiberglass cruising yacht with a full-featured interior and comprehensive systems suited for extended passage-making. The boat features a full cockpit enclosure, dodger, and bimini top, with a power winch and windlass on deck. Twin air-conditioning units and a 100-watt solar panel support the onboard climate and electrical systems, while a Yanmar 54 HP diesel engine handles auxiliary power.

Below deck, the yacht offers two staterooms and two heads with air-conditioned comfort throughout. The galley includes a three-burner propane stove with ten-pound tanks, a Vitrofrigo refrigerator, and a Waeco freezer. Cedar-lined closets and custom cabinetry maximize storage. A Kohler 8 kW generator, Xantex 2 kW inverter, and eight 12-volt deep-cycle house batteries form the electrical core, supplemented by the solar panel.

Navigation and communication systems include a Raytheon RL 70 radar and GPS, Garmin GPS map 492, Raymarine Autohelm autopilot, wind and speed depth instrumentation, and dual Icom VHF radios with cockpit speakers. Deck equipment features Harken roller-furling gear, davits, a cockpit shower, and a full set of cockpit cushions. The sail plan includes a full-batten main, Mac Pack jib, and 110% genoa with UV cover, all maintained seasonally.

The boat has been owned by the same private party for 22 years without charter use. Factory refrigeration has been replaced with more efficient units, and the painted hull reflects consistent upkeep. The Kohler generator currently requires attention.
