1997 Nauticat 42

This 1997 Nauticat 42 is a classic motor-sailer designed by Finnish naval architect Kaj Gustafsson. The fiberglass hull spans 42.65 feet in length with a 13.12-foot beam and 1.95-meter draft, providing solid performance in both open waters and coastal environments. A single 115-horsepower Cummins diesel engine powers the yacht for reliable cruising and maneuvering.

The layout centers around a bright, airy saloon with panoramic windows that flood the interior with natural light. A fully equipped galley sits forward, while three cabins provide flexible accommodation: a double cabin at the bow, a second double cabin with bunk beds amidships, and an aft master cabin with generous headroom and movement space. Two heads with shower and toilet facilities serve the crew.

Navigation and control are flexible, with dual steering wheels allowing operation from either the spacious pilot house or the exterior cockpit. The pilot house is outfitted with comfortable seating, good sightlines, and full electronic instrumentation. The engine room is readily accessible for maintenance. A large, practical cockpit doubles as a social gathering space, with direct access to the deck and most vessel systems.

Recent renovations were completed during 2023 and 2024 by the current owner. The yacht is ready for immediate use.
