The Tropic 56 is a 55-foot composite catamaran built by Naval Force 3 in La Rochelle, France. Her construction combines wood-epoxy decks, coach-roof, and topsides with fiberglass hulls below the waterline—a method that delivers light weight, stiffness, and durability. Twin Volvo diesel engines of 40 horsepower each with sail drives provide reliable power. The aluminum rig carries a main, self-tacking staysail, and gennaker, allowing the boat to be sailed efficiently by one or two people.
