1997 Offshore Yachts Sedan

The Island Girl is a 48-foot Offshore Sedan, a semi-displacement motor yacht built from fiberglass with a partial keel and 15-foot-6-inch beam. Twin Caterpillar 3126-TA diesel engines, each rated at 420 horsepower, power the yacht. The engines were replaced by Caterpillar in January 2006 and have approximately 2,000 hours. The semi-displacement hull design and beam provide a stable platform, while the wide deck plan offers strong sightlines from the helm.

The interior features warm satin-finished teak wood with teak and holly sole throughout. The layout includes a galley-up arrangement, spacious salon, forward master stateroom, port guest cabin, and two heads. Topside, a flybridge with bimini top extends the entertaining and cruising space, while full walk-around covered decks with high bulwarks offer safety and weather protection.

Exterior details include a starboard transom door, molded fiberglass swim platform, varnished teak cap rail around the cockpit, hot and cold cockpit shower with wet bar sink, and a dinghy davit on the port boat deck. Navigation and deck systems include a Maxwell windlass, fiberglass radar arch, Garmin electronics package, and a complete anchoring setup.

Power and climate systems comprise an 8-kilowatt Northern Lights generator, Side-Power bow thruster, Dometic reverse-cycle air conditioning, and inverter/charger.
