The 1997 Stamas 290 Express is a 29-foot sportfish built on a solid fiberglass hull, powered by twin Yamaha four-stroke outboards delivering 500 horsepower. She reaches a maximum speed of 44 knots and cruises at 30 knots. The transom was professionally replaced and reinforced with Coosa board to properly support the heavier outboard engines, and fuel tanks were replaced in 2010.
Navigation and electronics have been updated with a Garmin 8612 XSV chartplotter and GT51 side-scan transducer for fish-finding and situational awareness. The boat comes with a 2011 custom aluminum slide-on trailer, recently serviced and ready for transport.
Recent annual service included new impellers and a full inspection by Third Coast Marine in Fort Walton Beach. The boat has been operated in freshwater for the past four years. Note that the autopilot and windlass are currently inoperative.
