1998 Beneteau 411

This 1998 Beneteau 411 is a 41-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat powered by a 42-horsepower Westerbeke diesel engine. One of over 1,000 hulls built in this prolific design, the 411 is known for combining spacious, comfortable accommodations with efficient sailing characteristics. The boat features a shallow draft and an in-mast furling rig set up for easy handling, with all lines led aft to the cockpit. A generous bimini provides shade over the roomy cockpit, and autopilot is installed for long-distance cruising.

The interior includes two cabins and two heads. The main saloon is arranged with an L-shaped galley, a U-shaped dinette, and an extra settee to port, offering plenty of living space. Cruising speed is 7 knots with a maximum speed of 8 knots.

Throughout the previous ownership, the boat received extensive upgrades before and during a voyage from the Chesapeake Bay to the Bahamas and back. Recent work includes new macerators (2017), new glow plugs and raw water pump (2018), a balanced and rebuilt prop (2019), a new Lofrans windlass (2019), and a new mainsail and Genoa (2018). The engine received a diesel injector rebuild in 2020. The hull was completely scraped, epoxied, and painted in 2022, with additional paint work completed in fall 2024.

Electronics were comprehensively refitted in 2022 with Garmin navigation and autopilot systems, including a GPSMap 1243, radar, VHF, and AIS. Additional recent improvements include new anchor and chain (2022), new solar panels and battery (2021), air conditioning (2023), and upgraded ground tackle. A dinghy with aluminum floorboards and a 5-horsepower Yamaha outboard complete the package.
