1999 Hunter 410

The Hunter 410 is a 41-foot cruising sailboat built on a fiberglass hull with a distinctive B&R fractional rig. This setup maximizes sail area through an efficient mainsail while reducing headsail size for manageable handling by short-handed crews. The elimination of a backstay allows improved sail shape and control. A stainless steel arch supports the mainsheet and houses canvas, speakers, and accessories. The deep, wide cockpit provides generous seating, ample storage, and a walk-through transom for easy boarding and water access.

The boat features a 50 HP Yanmar diesel engine, 145 gallons of water capacity, and a total sail area of 820 square feet. Ground tackle includes a 55-pound Mantus anchor with 300 feet of chain, a Lewmar V2 windlass with wireless remote, and a 35-pound delta anchor. Sails consist of a conventional mainsail from Precision Sails with three reefing points and single-line reefing on two of them, a 110% roller-furling jib, and an asymmetrical spinnaker with dousing sock. The standing rig has been inspected by riggers, with replacements of the main halyard sheave, pin, lifeline gate sections, and jib furler turning block. All running rigging has been replaced since 2018 except the two reefing lines and boom traveler lines.

The accommodation includes two heads—one forward with a handheld shower and manual toilet, the other aft with a shower stall and manual toilet with macerator options. Three fresh water tanks provide 130 gallons combined capacity, supplemented by a reverse osmosis watermaker producing 15–18 gallons per hour. The galley features a Force 10 three-burner propane stove, a double stainless steel sink with pull-out faucet, and a Grunert refrigeration system with freezer and ice maker. Two Dometic and CTM heat pumps provide heating and cooling throughout.

Power and propulsion systems have received extensive recent maintenance: the engine received a new Yanmar 4JH2E 50 HP diesel with fuel filter installed in 2019, heat exchanger servicing in 2025, raw water impeller replacement in 2024, and endoscope inspection in 2025 with no carbon buildup noted. The electrical system includes 900 amp-hours of Epoch lithium batteries, 760 watts of solar panels, a 500-watt wind generator, a Xantrex inverter/charger, and an 80-amp alternator with a spare 100-amp alternator on board. Navigation equipment includes a Simrad Halo 20+ radar, B&G Zeus 2 multi-function display, Emtrak AIS transponder, CPT autopilot, and Starlink Gen 2 system.
