1998 Blackfin Express

This 1998 Blackfin Express is a 40-foot sportfish built on a fiberglass hull and powered by twin MAN R6-800 hp diesel engines with only 151 hours since repowering. The boat runs at 35 knots and cruises comfortably at 29 knots, making it efficient for reaching fishing grounds. New ZF transmissions with trolling capability pair with recently commissioned Seakeeper 6 gyro stabilization, which has just one hour of run time.

The accommodations include a forward V-berth with storage, full galley with new stainless Norcold refrigerator/freezer, microwave, cooktop, and sink, plus a head with shower and water heater. Separate air conditioning units serve the cabin and helm station, with the helm unit being new. A Northern Lights generator with 371 hours supports these systems.

The electronics suite is comprehensive, featuring dual Raymarine displays, autopilot, GPS, sonar, depth finder, and open array radar. Fusion marine stereo provides entertainment. The boat includes a bowthruster for docking ease, tower with upper helm station, dual Racors per engine for underway filter changes, lithium ion main starting batteries, and transom door. The bottom was freshly painted with new zincs and stainless intake screens in June 2026.
