Built on David Napier's proven deep-V design, this 2006 Mirage 40 is a stretched version of the classic Bertram 37 platform. The fiberglass hull combines traditional offshore performance with modern construction—vacuum-bagged layup, vinyl ester resins, and bonded structural components create a strong yet efficient platform known for soft ride quality and stability in rough water. Twin Cummins QSM11 diesel engines deliver cruising speeds around 22 knots with a top speed of 26 knots, paired with the fuel efficiency the design is recognized for.
