1998 Fountain Fever

The 1998 Fountain Fever is a 38-foot high-performance boat powered by twin 1000-cubic-inch supercharged Mercruiser engines producing 2000 horsepower. The boat features race fairing with Fountain branding, custom engine specifications including Mooneyham blowers, Lee product intercoolers, and dual Dominator carburetors per engine. Performance capabilities exceed 100 mph. The engines have logged only 12 total hours, while the boat itself shows 212 total hours of use and has seen fresh water operation only.

The cabin is appointed with white leather. Additional mechanical features include Speedmaster drives, custom lighting with strobes in the engine compartment, and aluminum Brodax heads. Propulsion is handled by 18.5 by 31-pitch custom props.

The boat comes with a tri-axle MYCO trailer fitted with drive guard tool boxes, a spare, and a power crank on the front. Shore power is installed aboard. This represents an uncommon 1998 model configuration in the 38-foot class and was the first non-race boat offered with the 1000 SC engine package from the factory.
