1998 Fountaine Pajot Bahia 46

This 1998 Fountaine Pajot Bahia 46 is a fiberglass catamaran with a 46-foot length and 24-foot beam, powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines of 78 horsepower each. The boat cruises at 8 knots and is built on the proven Bahia 46 design, known for seaworthiness and comfortable cruising capability.

The interior was originally configured with four cabins but has been modified to convert one cabin into a dedicated workshop equipped with tools—a practical setup for cruisers who maintain self-sufficiency at sea. The layout prioritizes both living comfort and the ability to handle repairs underway.

Recent major upgrades have been completed: a new mainsail installed in 2025, new standing rigging with diamonds added in 2023, a new Cruise RO watermaker from 2023, and a complete Raymarine navigation electronics suite from 2023. The electrical system has been substantially renewed with an AGM battery bank, additional solar panels, new MPPT controllers, and a smart charger, all installed in 2023.

The boat requires further work to bring systems fully up to specification and would benefit from general maintenance and updating. Many of the costly systems upgrades are already in place, providing a foundation for continued cruising development.
