1998 Hinckley classic picnic

This 1998 Hinckley 36 Classic Picnic is a downeast cruiser built with a Kevlar E-glass hybrid hull and balsa core, vacuum-bagged in Vinylester resin, paired with an E-glass and balsa deck. The hull is finished in Awlgrip Navy blue. The boat draws just 18 inches, allowing access to shallow waters while maintaining a smooth ride characteristic of the Hinckley design.

The yacht is powered by a single Yanmar diesel engine and equipped with a Hamilton water jet propulsion system controlled by a JetStick for precise, responsive handling in tight quarters. A full jet wash system overhaul was completed in October 2024, and engine cooling system work was done in 2026.

The interior features satin varnished cherry finishes and a teak and holly cabin sole. Accommodations include sleeping for two, a galley with a two-burner stove and refrigerator, and a private head with an Accu-point heater. The pilothouse and open cockpit provide generous entertaining space, with a full Bimini top overhead. Navigation and monitoring are handled by a B&G electronics suite.

External details include varnished teak toe rails, handrails, and a custom Hinckley varnished teak bowsprit. The boat comes with a complete suite of boat covers, window covers, and cockpit drapes. New bottom paint was applied in October 2024.
