This 2000 Hinckley Picnic Boat 36 represents the builder's hallmark blend of thoughtful design and solid construction. Built with a Kevlar E-glass hybrid hull and balsa core, the boat is finished in flag blue Awlgrip with a light cream gelcoat cabin house and double boot stripe. The teak decks and transom are core design elements, complemented by stainless steel hardware, a teak-inlaid swim platform with folding ladder, and a full suite of Hinckley details including custom bow chocks and mooring cleats.

The pilothouse and cockpit define the boat's comfortable cruising character. A varnished teak dash and house sides enclose the helm station, which features an adjustable white leather pedestal seat, stainless steel steering wheel with wood rim, and Hinckley's integrated Jet Stick control system. The pilothouse passenger area seats two on navy and white striped upholstery. Aft, the cockpit includes teak coaming caps, stowage lockers, fishing rod holders, a varnished teak drink table, and an insulated engine box with cushioned seating. A full canvas mooring cover attaches with snaps.

Below, cherry satin-varnish paneling and a teak-and-holly cabin sole create a warm interior. Forward sleeping accommodations feature a V-berth with navy and white striped cushions, opening ports, and generous locker and forepeak storage. The galley to port includes a Force 10 two-burner stove, Adler-Barbour 12-volt refrigeration, and ample storage. The boat is powered by a single Yanmar 6LYM-STE 420-horsepower diesel engine with 953 hours, paired with a Hamilton 292 jet drive and ZF transmission. A Vetus 7-inch bow thruster is integrated with the Jet Stick system. Electronics include a Raymarine E120 multifunction display with GPS and radar overlay, Raymarine ST6002 autopilot, ST60 Tridata, IC-M412 VHF radio, and Ritchie compass.
