A 1998 J/120, this 40-foot fiberglass sloop was originally equipped with a carbon mast and carries a 37-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine for auxiliary power. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 8.5 knots and cruises comfortably at 7.5 knots. Built for blue-water performance, the hull features a templated keel and rudder, and has remained in fresh water throughout its entire history.

The interior accommodates four berths in the main salon—two settee bunks and two upper bunks that utilize the settee seat backs. The boat includes a stock salon table and V berth and cockpit cushions, all unused. Standard interior doors and removable aluminum tube berths in the quarter berth and open storage areas provide flexible sleeping arrangements. A Lewmar hatch in the main salon and V berth allow natural ventilation, while new seals on salon portlights maintain weathertightness.

A comprehensive refit completed in 2015 and subsequent improvements have modernized the boat significantly. Highlights include a new Hall Spars carbon mast with rod rigging, a Harken Mark III roller furling system, and a professional Awlgrip hull repaint with a new barrier coat and VC-17 bottom finish. The Yanmar engine received a new front oil seal, and the cooling system was professionally replaced in 2022. Running rigging has been systematically upgraded with Tylaska shackles and Lewmar rope clutches. Dual RACOR fuel filters, new Martec two-blade folding propeller, and dual AGM batteries support reliable cruising. A comprehensive Raymarine B&G H5000 electronics suite, including a Zeus3 chartplotter, autopilot systems with wireless control, and integrated VHF with AIS, handles navigation and communication. Structural work includes a rebuilt cockpit sole, forward bulkhead, and new rudder bearings. The boat carries a Danforth anchor with appropriate chain and line, a certified propane system, and includes a dodger in very good condition.
