This 1998 Kadey-Krogen 48 is a classic full-displacement trawler built for comfortable cruising and live-aboard use. At 53 feet with a 17.5-foot beam, she displaces 56,450 pounds and draws on a single Caterpillar 3208NA diesel engine rated at 210 horsepower. The boat cruises at 7 knots while consuming just 2.5 gallons per hour, making her efficient for extended voyages. A recent March 2026 engine inspection confirmed the Caterpillar running within factory specifications across all pressure, temperature, and emissions parameters.

The interior includes two staterooms and two heads, along with a full galley equipped with modern appliances, LED lighting, and Corian countertops. The salon features custom teak furniture, a large-screen television, and soundbar system. Recent additions to the staterooms include custom steps with storage and handrails. The galley houses a GE stack washer and dryer unit on 220-volt service.

Systems throughout have been thoughtfully maintained and upgraded. A high-output water maker produces 1,150 gallons daily with new membranes and motor installed in 2025 and 2026 respectively. The Planus electric toilet system and sewer lines are new as of 2020, with backflow valves replaced in 2025.
