This 1998 Little Harbor WhisperJet 55 is a rare downeast yacht designed by Ted Hood, featuring the distinctive waterjet propulsion that defines the WhisperJet line. Twin MAN diesel engines deliver 1,300 horsepower each, with Hamilton jet drives providing a cruising speed around 26 knots and a maximum speed of 43 knots. The shallow draft of just 2 feet 6 inches allows access to skinny water, while the jet propulsion eliminates traditional props and rudders, reducing drag and underwater hazards.

The boat's name reflects its engineering: heavily insulated engine rooms and a carefully designed exhaust system keep noise levels exceptionally low for a performance yacht. A custom enclosed pilothouse added in 2020 provides 360-degree visibility. The fiberglass hull displaces approximately 57,000 pounds and measures 55 feet in length with a 16-foot 9-inch beam.
