1998 Mainship 350 Trawler

This 1998 Mainship 350 is a fiberglass trawler powered by a single 300-horsepower Caterpillar diesel engine with low running hours of 1,953. The 35-foot hull measures 14 feet across the beam and is equipped with a VETUS bow thruster, an 8-kilowatt Onan generator, and an ESPAR diesel heating system. The boat carries a 12-foot Defender rigid dinghy with an 8-horsepower Tohatsu outboard.

The accommodations center on a main salon with wood trim, a full-length couch, and multiple windows with blinds. The galley to port features Corian countertops, a stainless steel sink, a three-burner Princess stove with oven, GE microwave, and Norcold refrigerator with freezer. The master stateroom forward holds a centerline queen bed with cedar-lined lockers and overhead hatch; a guest cabin with queen bed sits aft, both offering storage for extended cruising. A single head services the accommodation spaces.

The cockpit is covered and roomy, accessed via a wide swim platform and center transom door. It includes two large self-draining storage boxes and two lazarettes providing access to steering and generator areas. Side decks are wide and protected; a sliding door on the starboard side leads to the lower helm station, while a large sliding glass door opens to the main salon. The foredeck is reached via these side passages.

Navigation and mechanical systems include an Autohelm ST 7000 autopilot, Raytheon RL70C radar, Garmin 740 GPSMAP, ICOM M302 VHF, and compasses at both helm stations. House power draws from four 6-volt golf cart batteries (400 amp-hours at 12 volts, replaced in 2024) and a Charles battery charger. Deck equipment includes a Lewmar anchor windlass, 45-pound CQR and 35-pound Danforth anchors with chain and rode, and an SE Fire automatic fire protection system. A flybridge with full enclosure and a trident propane locker complete the setup.
