The Manta 40 is a 1998 fiberglass catamaran spanning 40 feet in length with a 21-foot beam. Twin Volvo diesel engines, each rated at 60 horsepower, power the boat to a cruising speed of 7 knots and a maximum hull speed of 8.37 knots. The twin keel design provides stability across varied water conditions.
The layout accommodates three cabins and two heads, suitable for extended cruising. The catamaran features an electric windlass for anchoring operations and a spacious main salon with replaced windows. An electric jib was installed new in 2025.
Recent work includes engine repowering in 2018, standing rigging replacement in 2024, new cushions in the main salon in 2024, solar panels upgraded to 1560 watts in 2025, new trampolines in 2025, anchor chain replacement in 2025, and new sail covers fitted in 2024 and 2025. An ICOM VHF radio with remote helm microphone was installed in 2025. Starlink equipment is transferable to the next owner.
