2011 Nautitech 402

The 2011 Nautitech 402 is a 40-foot fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising. With a 21-foot beam, she offers the spacious hull and dual-hull stability characteristic of modern catamaran design. The boat has been substantially upgraded and refitted over recent years with a focus on reliability and self-sufficiency for extended offshore passages.

Navigation and electrical systems are thoroughly modern. Twin Yanmar 3YM30 diesel engines power the boat, supported by new engine mounts. The electronics suite includes a 12-inch B&G multifunction display at the helm, new B&G radar and VHF with AIS, autopilot with computer and control head, three tridata displays, and a new transducer. Power comes from 600 amp-hour AGM house batteries with digital and Bluetooth monitoring, a 3000-watt inverter, 800 watts of solar panels, and a Starlink satellite system. A 40 GPH water maker and new water filtration system support extended voyages.

The deck and rigging have been comprehensively renewed, including new rudders with updated shafts and bearings, new propellers, all standing and running rigging, new chain and spade anchor with windlass, and new sail hardware including a stack pack and gooseneck. The sail plan comprises a mainsail, genoa, and two spinnakers—one with a sock. A 10-foot RIB tender with 9.9 hp Tohatsu outboard and davits are included, along with a trampoline shade tent and cockpit enclosure.

Below deck systems and accommodations reflect recent investment: new head, freezer with air or water cooling options, three-burner propane stove with oven, hot and cold water shower with sugar scoop, cabin and salon DC fans, and updated plumbing throughout. Safety equipment includes a new four-person offshore life raft mounted on the stern, new auto-release EPIRB, and new inflatable dan buoy. Engine spares and miscellaneous boat parts are included.
