1998 Moonen 68 flybridge

Built in 1998, this Moonen 68 is a steel motor yacht originally conceived for an owner with deep commercial shipping expertise. The hull was constructed with enhanced acoustic insulation following a specialized study, resulting in notably quiet operation throughout the boat. In 2021, a flybridge was added by established Dutch shipbuilders, creating a second helm station and additional outdoor seating area with full steering controls and basic navigational functions.

The yacht accommodates three cabins and six heads across its 67.6-foot length. A major refit in 2021 refreshed the interior completely: new upholstery and mattresses, full LED lighting conversion, new galley with refrigerator, hob and sink, and reconfigured dinette spaces. The flybridge includes built-in seating and windshield protection. Additional work included teak deck repair and refinishing, exterior woodwork repaint, new interior blinds, and a canvas cockpit enclosure.

Equipment is comprehensive and well-documented. Dual MAN diesel engines of 504 horsepower drive the yacht, supported by hydraulic bow and stern thrusters with trolling function. Navigation systems include AIS Class A and PC Navigo chartplotting. Camera systems monitor the engine room, bathing platform, aft deck, and both side decks. Onboard amenities include a central vacuum system, Miele washer, dryer and dishwasher, stabilizer system, and WiFi router. A hydraulically folding mast reduces clearance to approximately 6.13 meters when down. Twin helm seats are electrically adjustable. The boat carries CVO+Rijn certification valid through 2027.

Extensive construction and refit documentation remains onboard, including original Moonen folders and detailed records of the 2021 flybridge installation with all drawings and calculations. Spare parts for critical systems are stocked.
