1998 Nonsuch 33

The Nonsuch 33 is a distinctive sailing yacht defined by its unstayed cat-rig mast with wishbone boom, plumb stem, vertical transom, and fixed fin keel with internally-mounted spade rudder. The design delivers spacious accommodations below—6 feet 9 inches of headroom throughout—that feel considerably larger than the boat's 33-foot length, making it comfortable for four people cruising. A single Yanmar diesel engine of 47 horsepower provides auxiliary power with relatively low hours logged on the engine. The boat reaches a cruising speed of 6.8 knots and a maximum speed of 7.8 knots.

Accommodation includes two cabins and one head. Notable equipment aboard are a carbon fiber mast, bow thruster, electric main winch with helm petal controls that enable single-handed sailing, and generously sized water and fuel tanks that support extended cruising range. Helm control is via wheel steering.

The hull was repainted with Awlgrip in 2015. Electronics were fully replaced in 2019, the autopilot was renewed in 2020, and the autopilot pump and ram were updated in 2022. The engine has recorded 1,315 hours of operation. This 1998 build represents the Nonsuch design after the moulds were acquired by Wiggers from the original builder.
