1998 Ocean Yachts 40 Super Sport

The 1998 Ocean Yachts 40 Super Sport is a convertible sportfisherman built on a fiberglass hull with a beam of 14 feet 2 inches. Twin Caterpillar 3126 engines deliver 420 horsepower each, with 1,920 hours logged. The yacht carries dual Garmin GPSMap chartplotters, a Garmin xHD2 radar, Flir M232 thermal imaging, Icom VHF radio, and JL Audio throughout.

Below deck, the two-stateroom layout centers on a galley positioned to starboard in the salon. The master stateroom features a full walkaround queen berth set beneath the raised dinette for additional headroom, with teak cabinetry, a hanging locker, and storage drawers. The guest stateroom includes a full berth and locker storage. A shared head with an enclosed shower stall and vanity serves both cabins. The salon showcases teak interior finishes, an L-shaped sofa to port, large windows with blinds, and a flatscreen television. The galley includes a stainless steel sink, two-burner electric cooktop, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, and abundant storage. A U-shaped elevated dinette completes the main cabin space.

Recent work includes a soda blast and barrier coat application in 2021, new electronics and water systems that same year, and new upholstery and isinglass in 2023. Bottom paint was applied in 2025, along with a 1000-hour service. New carpet and salon flooring were installed in 2025. A new couch with pullout function was added to the salon in 2025.
