1999 Ocean Yachts 40

This 1999 Ocean Yachts 40 is a fiberglass sportfish powered by twin Caterpillar 3126 diesel engines producing 840 horsepower combined. The boat measures 40 feet in length with a 14-foot beam, providing a stable platform for fishing and cruising. A Westerbeke 7.5 kW generator supplies ship's power.

Below deck, the boat offers a V-berth, a twin bed, and a spacious salon with additional sleeping accommodations for family cruising. The helm is equipped with a Garmin 10-inch plotter integrating chartplotter, radar, and sonar functions, along with side-scan capability and autopilot.

The fishing cockpit was rebuilt in 2022 as a new battle station. Recent maintenance includes turbocharged engine rebuilds completed in 2022, new raw water pump impellers, belts, a new battery charger, and a new fuel lift pump for the generator installed in 2023. The engine room was cleaned and painted, and a new flybridge isinglass enclosure was added in 2024. Current-season maintenance includes fresh bottom paint, fuel filters, and oil changes.
